Delta Electronics Wins “Best Integrated Uninterruptible Power Supply Solution for Data Centers” Contest

April 15, 2013, Moscow — Delta Electronics, a world-leading company in power management solutions, has won the contest “Best Power Supply Solution for Telecommunication Companies” by Mobile Telecommunications Magazine. The Delta Electronics’ solution was awarded in two nominations: “Best Integrated Uninterruptible Power Supply Solution for Data Centers” and “Editor’s Choice”.

The project presented by Delta Electronics at the contest included a power supply system for a data center, which consists of 16 racks with the power rating of 7 kW each, together generating the total of ~112 kW of heat. Delta’s integrated solution consists of UPS DPS 200 kVa with the AC-AC operating efficiency of 96%, precision cooling system, power distribution cabinet (PDC) allowing to plug in up to 84 server racks, power distribution Unit (PDU) that provides optimal power distribution for devices inside a rack, and environment management system that consists of sensors and a central monitoring station. The modular architecture and scalability of Delta’s solution, its easy integration with all the components of a datacenter, and the intelligent environment management system left no doubt that Delta Electronics would win the contest.
